Is the objective to get elected or to push our message and affect change in our systemically flawed political system of Per Capita colonialism?

Personally I feel that ideally the NL-FIRST party would have to disband itself because it has achieved it's objective of equality for NL within a united confederation.

When you consider that I personally only handed out 1000 brochures only had my 50 signs up for a little over a week, am relatively an unknown entity and an expatriate who returned home from BC to give the people of my homeland a real choice from all of the national parties who have to win ON/QU to win power, was excluded from the University debate, had one hell of a time trying to get my 4 minutes a week on the open line shows yet nearly 500 citizens decided to step outside of their comfort zone and the status Quo of insane politics where by Vote splitting and strategic voting will never change anything.

You also have to look at how we pushed the envelope made NL's issues be addressed during the election. Things like marine Atlantic, Toeing the national party line of doing what's in the best interest of ON/QU to get elected just to name a few. We have put all of the national parties on notice that if they don't pay attention to NL's issues and allow NL's MP's to speak their mind and voice the concerns of NL they now have an option to cross the floor and stand up as NL-FIRST MP's and the next election the people of NL will have a real choice in not only three ridings but all 7 ridings and for those who want they can even vote swap from any riding in the country to make their disenfranchised NL voice heard right here at home.

Now we need to set up 7 riding associations and start building for the next time and the next time.

Thank-You Greg Byrne!NL-ExPatriatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15938647714308913350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11333084.post-54776289603234289902008-10-29T16:04:00.000-02:302008-10-29T16:04:00.000-02:30Well said Anonymous 3:23pmThere is nothing that fe...Well said Anonymous 3:23pm

There is nothing that feeds the status quo of political injustice better and is move loved by politicians in power than an electorate that is asleep.

Many civilizations around the world, some lasting for thousands of years, have fallen into the faded memory of history for exactly this reason. Unfettered power and a citizenry that became so uncaring that their country fell into ruin.

Canada, it seems, will eventually become one of those footnotes to history. Let's just hope the people of NL wake up before that happens so we can survive the collapse and continue as we once did, free!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11333084.post-68998999523244678192008-10-29T15:23:00.000-02:302008-10-29T15:23:00.000-02:30This would be humorous if it wasn't so true, and s...This would be humorous if it wasn't so true, and sad.

Once again the public, including the people of NL, have spent the last few years sitting back, ignoring what has been going on in our political world, only to finally decide to tune in during the election campaign and vote for who ever had the best slogans, advertizing and spin doctoring.

NL had a chance, at least in 3 ridings, to vote for a party that would stand up for its needs but did they? NO, instead they voted for federal parties once again.

How many times can someone try to tell the public that the current federal system is not working and they need to find an alternative. Ottawa won't change unless it is forced to do so and it won't be forced to change unless the people wake up and make them do it.

Canada is in a "Hell" of our own making and we have nobody to blame for it but ourselves for being too lazy to concern ourselves with what's going on.

Ask any average person on the street, outside of the few who visit sites like this, and most of them don't even know who the member in their riding is, they don't know what the major issues are and what's worse they don't even seem to care as long as they have a roof over their heads, supper on the table and a cold beer on the weekend.

Is that all there is to the way of life we have our sons and daughters fighting to protect?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11333084.post-85828290322233002302008-10-29T15:04:00.000-02:302008-10-29T15:04:00.000-02:30He He He,Funny MylesHe He He,Funny MylesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
